"The 910xt is suppose to have better tracking, but yes, I normally just put it at the top (under the swim cap). Now, the key to this is that you purchase a "clip" that you can easily snap into your bike and then your wrist for the run."

What's your base training?

Posted on January 27, 2013 at 4:23pm 0 Comments

At the 2013 Kick off meeting,  I was talking to member about base training and which exercise is the best. A catchall if you will for all three sports.  My advice was "Indoor Rowing." Since I learned about it, it's been great for all areas.

Not only do you get a great workout, but it also increased my fitness level all around.…

How do you stay motivated?

Posted on January 24, 2013 at 10:47pm 0 Comments

Hi Team,

Over the years (and there has been a lot of them now...), I have learned a good way to stay competitive and motivated is by using races for a cause. Each year, I select a charity and I put myself on the line to not only finish the race(s) successfully, but to pay it forward and spread the word about the cause.  Warning!!! It does create additional pressure, but believe me, the reward is priceless!

One of the reasons I love the OCTRICLUB is because they give and give…

Many people have asked how to send pictures to the website via their mobile device. Suffer no more, I created this video that explains how to do it.  It's fun and a great way to show your training pictures and events with your peers.

Hi. Thanks for the welcome! I have a dumb question and it really is a dumb question. Well I don't own a bike at this moment. I run marathons and half marathons on a regular basis. However, my goal is to get into triathlons. So, should I still be part of the club at this point even though I don't own a bike right at this moment? Please advise.
