Scott, I am resting tomorrow and then having a "BIG DAY" on Sunday. Mia and I plan to swim 1 hr, bike 5 hrs, and run 2 hrs with 90 min rests between. Not sure if we will stick to the rest times but that is our plan.
Karen, You were a real trooper:) I plan on riding another "flat" course next Sat too. Let me know if you want to join me.
Thanks Scott for letting me ride with you on your "flat....this is the last hill" ride yesterday. It was some good training for me.
I'd ride with you guys but I'm headed down to Soma race this weekend to preview the IMAZ course. Have fun.
The last month I've been doing San Onofre and Camp Pendleton. I'll park at the Las Pulgas gate and use my car as an aid station. It's a 33 mile loop total. The loop from Las Pulgas gate to just past the Power Plant is 18 miles. The loop from Las Pulgas through Camp Pendleton on Stuart Mesa Road and down to Vandergrift is a 15 mile round trip. There minimal traffic which is nice and it's mostly flat. If you end up going down there, remember to bring your ID to get on the base.
The other trail I've been doing for IMAZ training is the Santa Ana River Trail from Yorba Linda Regional Park to Huntington Beach. It's a 44 mile loop. But there's a lot more riders down there that don't pay attention, so keep your head up.
you're all welcome to join my group climbing hwy 38 on Saturday. right now, there's 4 of us. We have drivers meeting us in big bear for lunch and then shuttling us back down. You'll need you're own shuttle driver or just ride back down hwy 38.

Scott - regarding the ride on Sat. we are trying to think of a ride. Do you have any good ideas? We are planning to leave at 6:30 am. I am not sure if this goes to your e-mail or not.
